[News from the News Center] Recently, YSU received a letter of congratulation from the National Student Financial Aid Management Center (NSFAMC). The excellent deeds of Cui Xuan, a student of YSU, as the winner of the National Scholarship were published in the China Daily on February 28, 2018.

Cui Xuan is a student majoring in Electronic Information Science and Technology, School of Science of YSU. He was enlisted in army in 2012. He was honored as a Class III meritorious soldier and excellent soldier during his military service. After returning to university, he served as a member of class committee. He studied hard, and demonstrated the best academic performance for the first seven semesters. The comprehensive assessments are ranked first in the profession, and had won scholarships for many times. He won the first prize of the National College Student Mathematical Modeling Contest, and was granted Hebei Province-level Three Good Students, YSU's Year Characters, and was admitted with exemption from examinations by Tsinghua University in 2018 for Master degree study. It is hoped that the rest of YSU’s students will follow Cui Xuan as a model, strengthen his ideals and beliefs, work diligently, learn and innovate, pursue excellence, and fulfill his mission as a socialist builder and successor, contributing wisdom and strength to the realization of the Chinese dream of a great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
