[News from the News Center] On the morning of June 11, a delegation led by Meng Xianpeng, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and county governor of Linxi County Xingtai City, visited YSU for exchanging opinions and information in terms of Production-Education-Research. Vice President Kong Xiangdong and the heads of the School of Mechanical Engineering, School of National Defense Technology, and the Technology Transfer Center received visitors to the first reception room of the Century Building. The forum was hosted by Wang Yuehua, Deputy Director of Technology Transfer Center.

At the meeting, Kong Xiangdong warmly welcomed the visitors and detailed YSU’s current situation. He said that our university always attaches great importance to the cooperation with local governments. We will continue to make good use of YSU's superior disciplines and the characteristics of local industries, and actively explore the cooperation form in some aspects such as education scheme, scientific and technological achievements transformation, and “Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Service for People and Livelihood”. YSU strives to develop a distinctive campus cooperation approach in order to support local economic and social development with more knowledge, technology, and human resources.

Meng Xianpeng briefly introduced Linxi development, technological innovation, economic development and geographical advantages. He noted that there is a very good cooperation foundation between the two sides. The economic development of Linxi County requires extensive cooperation with YSU. It is hoped that through the cooperation in Production-Education-Research and joint efforts, practical results will be achieved in the establishment of normalized communication and docking mechanisms.
The representatives of the participating companies and teachers had substantial discussions and exchanged opinions in terms of specific project cooperation. After the meeting, the visitors visited the 2018 graduation design exhibition.
