[News from the News Center] On the morning of September 26, approved by the MoE and the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco, a team of 7 experts from the US Silicon Valley “Chunhui Project” led by Hebei Provincial Department of Education and organized by the China Overseas Students Entrepreneurship Association visited YSU. President Liu Hongmin and Vice President Zhang Fucheng met with visitors in the first reception room of the Century Building. Relevant directors from the Human Resources, the International Cooperation Division, School of Electrical Engineering, School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Technology Transfer Center, and the National University Science &Technology Park participated in the meeting. At the meeting, Liu Hongmin warmly welcomed the delegation’s delegation to our university. President Liu introduced YSU’s history and development strategy. He hopes that experts will take advantage of their majors and their own resources to diversify the approaches and fields of cooperation and exchanges, and seek a win-win development. Lin Jianren, Head of the expert delegation introduced their research fields and scientific research results respectively. He hoped that through this visit, they could strengthen contact with experts in YSU and seek more extensive scientific research cooperation. At the meeting, Zhang Ruiguo, Director of the International Education Exchange Center of the Education Department of Hebei Province, on behalf of the Hebei Provincial Department of Education, extended a warm welcome to the expert delegation. After the meeting, the expert delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Meta-stable Materials Science and Technology, the National Cold Rolling Strip Equipment and Process Engineering Technology Research Center, National Defense Key Discipline Laboratory of Mechanical Structure and Materials Science under Extreme Conditions, Hebei Key Laboratory of Heavy Machinery Fluid Power Transmission and Control, and made special academic reports to the School of Electrical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, and School of Science, and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with teachers and students.
Since the launch of MoE “Chunhui Project” in 1997, the MoE has allocated special funds to support Chinese overseas students to return and work for a short period of time. This project has achieved fruitful results in the three years since its implementation in Hebei province.
