[News from the News Center] At 14:00, Apr. 21, the School of Arts and Design held “Remain True to the Party and Pursue Merits in the New Era” chorus competition at Room B104, Building of Music, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. Expert teacher Xu Man, and Li Yan were invited as judges, Su Jing, Party Secretary of School of Arts and Design, counselors and students of School of Arts and Design watched the competition.
The class Music Performance 18-1 won the first prize.
The class Environment Design 18-1 won the second prize.
The class Visual Communication Design 18-2 won the third prize.

With the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement coming around, the competition aims to stimulate the patriotism and the national ambition of contemporary college students. More than 300 students participated in the competition and all of them paid great attention from song selection, rehearsal to formal competition.Their hard work and careful preparation, which lasted half a month, presented a wonderful and gracefulperformance with powerful and clear voice andinspiring notes. The chorus members showed their gratitude to the Party and the country with great energy and spirit and gained the strong resonance of the audience. This chorus competition is divided into two sectors. After heated competition, “Dedication”by the classDance Performance 18-1 won the first prize; the “My Country”by the classEnvironment Design 18-1, and “Unity is Strength”by the class Industrial Designwon the second prize; “Song of the Yangtze River” by the class Visual Communication Design 18-2, “The Same Song” by the class Industrial Design 18-2, and “My Motherland and Me” by the class Environment Design 18-2 won the third prize.
This competition will help pass on the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, and the fine spirit of School of Arts and Design, which will keep contemporary college students sincere and loyal to the country.
