The 2025 "Chinese Book Overseas Library Collection Influence Research Report" was released at the 31st Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) recently. Yanshan University Press ranked 92nd, up two places from 2024. It has been selected for the "Top 100 Chinese Publishers with Overseas Library Collection Influence" for four consecutive years, and it ranks 41st among university presses included in the Top 100.

This year, the "Chinese Book Overseas Library Collection Influence Research Report" introduced a new ranking — the 2024 list of "Globally Influential Chinese Authors", based on the number of overseas libraries that have collected their works. Xia Tao, author of Inner and Outer Boudoir: The Family and Social Roles of Women in the Economic Life of the Song Dynasty, a book published by Yanshan University Press, ranked 42nd on the list. The book has been collected by 16 overseas libraries.
In recent years, Yanshan University Press, building on its publishing strengths and characteristics, has remained committed to promoting the global reach of Chinese books, telling China's stories, and spreading Chinese culture. The Great Wall: History and Insight and Retained Austenite in Bainitic Steel were successfully selected for the Silk Road Book Publishing Project and translated into Indonesian and Urdu respectively, to be recommended to countries along the Belt and Road. The English-language rights to The Great Wall of China and other publications have been licensed for overseas distribution and will be widely introduced to North American readers. "Archaeological Survey and Research on the Great Wall Heritage" (Volume I) has been selected for funding by the National Publication Foundation for 2025. The publication of high-quality series such as "Local Gazetteers of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the Qinhuangdao Great Wall Region", "Selected Works of Chen Congzhou", and "Historical Accounts of Yanshan" demonstrates the growing recognition, both at home and abroad, of the intellectual value and academic quality of Yanshan University Press's publications. Moving forward, Yanshan University Press will continue to strive for excellence in cultural publishing, further contributing to the inheritance and development of Chinese culture and its global reach.

The "Chinese Book Overseas Library Collection Influence Research Report", jointly initiated by the China Publishing & Media Journal and the Center for Evaluation of the Effect of Overseas Communication of Chinese Culture, School of International Journalism and Communication, Beijing Foreign Studies University, has been released for 14 consecutive editions as of 2025. This report, based on the bibliographic data of Chinese mainland publishing institutions collected by the overseas library system, tracks the global circulation of Chinese publications and outlines the current landscape of Chinese cultural dissemination worldwide. As an independent annual evaluation, the report's findings have become an important reference for industry professionals seeking insights into international market feedback and for scholars exploring the patterns of global communication. It has been highly recognized by both the publishing industry and the academic community.
