YSU scored high in Russian Language Contest for Universities and Colleges in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region

【News from News Center】To coordinate with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region development plan and promote the education of and communication of Russian language in this region, 2017Senteng Cup Russian Language Contest for Universities and Colleges in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region was held in Shijia zhuang, Hebei Province from Apr. 14thto 15th. After intense competition, Xiaoxia Yang and Baoquan Wang from YSU won the third prize of junior and senior group; while Xue Li and Ying Zhang won the third prize of freshman and sophomore group.

YSU scored high in Russian Language Contest for Universities and Colleges in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region

Competitors were more than 80 students and teachers from 13 universities and colleges, including: Renmin University of China, Capital Normal University, Beijing International Studies University, Tianjin Normal University, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, YSU, Hebei University, and Hebei Normal University. 4 students from YSU, led by Associate Professor Bingshan Liu from the Department of Russian language, were all awarded. With written and oral test, the contest was divided into 2 groups: one for seniors and juniors, and one for freshmen and sophomores. Hosted by Foreign Languages Teaching and Research Association of Hebei Universities and Colleges and Hebei Normal University, the contest had many honored guests at the opening ceremony, including: Jianbing Dai, Vice President of Hebei Normal University, Ran Sui, Vice Chairman of the Association of Chinese Teachers of Russian Language and Literature and Vice Director of School of Foreign Studies of Capital Normal University, Yingnan Li, former Director of Russian School and Russian Center of Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Vladimir, internationally well-known expert for Russian literature research.

It is reported that the contest will be held in Tianjin, Beijing and Hebei in turns, and the content will be enriched to achieve the unity of knowledge and fun. The contest provided a platform for Russian language education, strengthened the exchanges among universities, thus promoting the integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.
