YSU Students Scored High in the 6th All China Interpreting Contest (ACIC)

[News from News Center] On May 13th, YSU students scored high in the 6thACIC Semi-finals of North China Division. Junyuan Zhang, Xiaoqing Lou won the third prize; Tong Xing, Mengzhu Sun the excellence awards; and Yanbin Zhang, Ying Zhang the excellent instructor awards.

YSU students and teachers were awarded in the 6thACIC.

Supported by YSU Teaching Affairs Office, organized and trained by School of Foreign Studies, five English majors from School of Foreign Studies and Liren College, led by Yanbin Zhang and Ying Zhang, competed on topics related to "Online Group Buying Economy" and "World Financial System Reform" with 70 contestants from Beijing Foreign Studies University, China Foreign Affairs University, Renmin University of China, University of International Business and Economics, Tianjin Foreign Studies University and other dozens of colleges and universities in North China, and achieved breakthrough results.

School of Foreign Studies has long focused on student training and improving students' competence. Since entering into ACIC in 2015, School of Foreign Studies has won many awards, which is of great significance in promoting innovative education, interpretation project teaching and the construction of translation discipline.

Sponsored by the Chinese Translation Association, and undertaken by Foreign Language Institute of Capital University of Economics and Business and Global Yutong Language Co. Ltd., this contest was held at Foreign Language Institute of Capital University of Economics and Business.
