[News from the News Center] On the afternoon of November 2, in the Room 209 of the Student Activity Center, East Campus, the tenth-generation car “Yanxiang No. 10” developed by YSU Yanxiang Racing Team was officially released. Vice President Wang Desong, the Head of the relevant functional departments of our universities, the leadership of YSU School of Vehicle and Energy, and representatives of sponsoring companies attended the conference.
“Yanxiang No. 10” is the first electric formula car developed by Yanxiang Racing Team. It fully considers ergonomics, lightweight and engineering practice, giving the car a strong and stable power, perfect electrical system, good handling stability and excellent aerodynamics. The team members independently developed a battery information collection system to monitor the battery operating status in real time to ensure continuous high power output of the battery under the limit state, and developed a traction control strategy and torque compensation strategy to achieve driving slip resistance by collecting and analyzing vehicle driving data. The driver’s driving intention is identified, the flexibility of the electronic control unit is utilized, and the vehicle’s power and economy are fully improved.

Wang Desong delivered a speech at the press conference. He congratulated the students on their achievements, and spoke highly of the self-designed electric formula car. He strongly affirmed the achievements in the innovation and entrepreneurship since the establishment of the Yanxiang team. He said we also hope that the majority of students can learn their spirit and constantly improve their abilities and qualities in all aspects, and wish the new car a good result in this year's competition.
