Yanshan University Among Top 100 Chinese Universities with Innovation Competitiveness in Humanities & Social Sciences for 2 Consecutive Years

Recently, the Golden Apple Ranking released the 2022 list of the top 100 Chinese universities with innovation competitiveness in humanities & social sciences. Yanshan University ranked 88th. Yanshan University first entered the list in 2021. It's the only university that entered the 2022 list in Hebei Province.

In recent years, Yanshan University has attached great importance to the development and revitalization of humanities and social sciences. With Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guide, the university aims for academic frontiers, keeps up with the times, inherits traditions, serves the country, and adheres to innovation-driven development. By fully implementing academics-driven development and culture-led development, Yanshan University has significantly enhanced its academic core competitiveness in important fields such as projects under the National Social Science Fund of China and new think tanks, and made important contributions to developing philosophy and social sciences.


The "Golden Apple Ranking", also known as the China Evaluation List, the Qiu Junping University Ranking List and the Evaluation Network University Ranking List, is the most comprehensive, professional and authoritative science and education ranking jointly developed by Network of Science & Education Evaluation in China, the Chinese Academy of Science and Education Evaluation (Hangzhou Dianzi University CASEE) and Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation (Wuhan University RCCSE). It has published 19 lists in a row, including the Ranking of Chinese Universities and Disciplines, the Ranking of Chinese Postgraduate Education and Disciplines, the Ranking of World First-Class Universities and Disciplines, and the Ranking of Chinese Academic Journals. Its evaluation system indexes include humanities and social sciences researchers, scientific research bases, scientific research projects and funds, scientific research achievements, scientific research awards and research efficiency, etc. It aims to comprehensively evaluate the competitiveness of scientific research of universities.
