[News from News Center]Jianpei Xu, ViceGovernor of Hebei Province, accompanied by Chen Feng, Vice Mayor of Qinhuangdao City, visited YSU on June 27th. Weidong Meng, Secretary of the CPC Committee of YSU, and Hongmin Liu, President of YSU joined them.
Xu and his entourage visited Materials Science, National Cold Rolled Strip Equipment and Process Engineering Technology Research Center, and State Key Laboratory of Metastable Materials Science and Technology Under Extreme Conditions. Communicating with Qingxiang Yang, Yan Peng, Riping Liu and other experts, they got a detailed understanding of faculty development at laboratories and research centers, the opening and sharing of large-scale equipment, and breakthroughs in new technology, new process, and new materials.

Xu fully affirmed that scientific achievements by YSU met the major strategic needs of the country, and hoped that YSU will inherit traditions, make full of disciplinary advantages, develop new research areas and directions in accordance with strategic development of new industries, strengthen scientific and technological innovation, promote technology transformation and transfer, and make greater contributions to major national projects and the economic and social development of Hebei.
