[News from the News Centre] On January 10, the Science and Technology Awards Conference of Hebei Province was held at Taihang State Guest House, Shijiazhuang. YSU wins 13 awards: Zhang Fucheng was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award of Science and Technology in Hebei Province, the research completed by Prof. Hua Changchun “The Analysis and Design of Networked Nonlinear Dynamic System” was awarded the first prize of the Natural Science of Hebei Province, the research by Prof. Zhang Xinyu “The Development and Application of the New High-performance Corrosion-resistant Zirconium Alloy” awarded the first prize of Technical Invention of Hebei Province, the research by Prof. Zhao Jingyi “The Collaborative Control Technology and Application of the Customizable Bridge Carrying Construction Equipment ” awarded the first prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Hebei Province, and the other three achievements won the second prize of Natural Science, two achievements won the second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress, one achievement won the third prized of Natural Science, and three achievements won the third prize for Scientific and Technological Progress.
Provincial leaders Wang Dongfeng, Ye Dongsong, Liang Tiangeng, Yuan Tongli, Jiao Yanlong, Gao Zhili, Fan Zhaobing and Xu Jianpei attended the meeting, and Zhao Yide, Deputy Secretary of the provincial party committee, hosted the meeting. Xu Jianpei read the award selection document.
Wang Dongfeng presented certificates to Zhang Fucheng, Yang Shaopu, winners of the 2018 Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award; Yu Jun and Wu Jianguo, representatives of the 2018 Hebei Science and Technology Cooperation Award, and congratulated them for their achievements.
Professor Zhang Fucheng spoke at the conference as a representative of the award-winning scientific researchers. He briefly reviewed his own research history and the achievements of the scientific research team, and said that as a scientific researcher, we must be responsible for the wellbeing of our society, and spare no efforts to contribute to the development of our hometown.

Among the 13 awards obtained by YSU, in addition to the Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award and the 3 first prizes, there are three research were awarded second awards, they are “The Theoretical Calculation Methods and Applications of the Mechanical Properties of Covalent Bond Materials and Inter-metallic Compounds”, “The Collaborative Control Theory and Optimization Method of the Network Multi-agent System”, “The Design, Synthesis and Physical Properties of the New Meta-stable Crystallisation”. The research “The Multi-dimensional Characterization and Performance Regulation Mechanism of High-carbon Steel Tissue” was awarded the third prize. Two research “The Comprehensive Modelling Theory and the Optimization Technology of the Strip Hot Rolling Process”, and “The Analysis of the Vibration Characteristics of Large Rolling Mill System and Key Technology of the Monitoring Control and Its Application” were awarded the second prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress. And three research programs were awarded the third prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress: “The Research and Application of Key Technologies for Non-destructive Evaluation of New Lightweight Multi-functional Composite Materials”, “The Incomplete Evolution-Induced Catastrophic Failure Criterion and Predictive Processing Method”, “The Planning and Operation Technology and Its application of High-Scale Photovoltaic Access Distribution Network”.
It is reported that 266 (individuals) research were awarded 2018 Hebei Science and Technology Award, including 2 Outstanding Contribution Awards of Science and Technology, 4 Science and Technology Cooperation Award, 19 Natural Science Awards (3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 10 third prizes), 19 Technical Invention Awards (3 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 8 third prizes), and 221 Science and Technology Progress Awards (24 first prizes, 76 second prizes, and 121 third prizes).
