[News Center] On December 23, Yanshan University (YSU) held the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics Volunteers and Cast Members Mobilization Meeting in Room 109, University Student Activity Center, East Campus. Secretary of the CPC Yanshan University Committee Zhao Xianfeng, President Zhao Dingxuan, and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yanshan University Committee Huang Sheng attended the meeting. The heads of the University Office, the Organization Department of the Party Committee, the Office of Student Affairs, the Communist Youth League Committee and schools as well as the representatives of YSU’s Winter Olympic volunteers and cast members attended the meeting. At the mobilization meeting, Sun Xishan, a general volunteer for the Winter Olympics and a professional teacher in the School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics, and Liu Jiaxin, an actor at the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics and a student from the School of Arts and Design, made speeches as representatives of the Winter Olympics staff. They expressed that they will work hard in their respective fields, promote YSU’s cultural character, bravely shoulder the glorious mission entrusted by the times, and contribute to the hosting of a “simple, safe and wonderful” Winter Olympic Games.
The video of the messages sent by 5 well-known athletes to the YSU’s volunteers and cast and crew of the Winter Olympics was played at the meeting, with the common aspiration of “Winter Olympics and us, together for a shared future”.
Zhao Xianfeng made a mobilization speech at the meeting. On behalf of the Party Committee of YSU, he expressed his high respect and best wishes to all teachers and students who are about to embark on the journey of serving the Winter Olympics, with the expectations and trust. Zhao Xianfeng said that the task of YSU to serve the Winter Olympics is a historical opportunity given by the great era, is a glorious mission delivered by the Party and the people, and is a grand stage to showcase the YSU youth, Hebei youth and even Chinese youth. He had four hopes to the teachers and students serving the Winter Olympics: (1) to cherish the honor and fulfill the mission. It is necessary to contribute to the Winter Olympics with a strong sense of political responsibility and a highly responsible attitude, and live up to the ardent expectations of the Party and the people; (2) to be dedicated and enthusiastic in services.
