[News Center] On December 7, under the guidance of the Central Party Literature Press and Xiling Seal Art Society, the “Imprint Original Heart - Public Seal Carving Works Exhibition”, hosted by Qinhuangdao Political Consultative Conference and the National Colleges and Universities Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture Inheritance Base of Yanshan University, and co-organized by Yanshan University (YSU), China Millennium Monument Art Museum, Seal Cutting Institute of Chinese National Academy of Arts, China World Trade Center and more than 150 domestic units, kicked off in the Cloud Hall of Yanshan University Art Museum Exhibition.

The leaders of related units of Qinhuangdao City and related functional offices of YSU also attended the opening ceremony, and guests and friends who loved the art of seal carving watched the opening ceremony on the Internet. The opening ceremony was presided over by Sun Li, Dean of the School of Arts and Design of YSU.
Speech by Huang Sheng
On behalf of YSU, Huang Sheng expressed welcome and gratitude to the leaders and guests who attended the opening ceremony, and introduced the development history of YSU and the development of YSU’s seal carving art to the guests. Huang Sheng introduced that YSU, as one of the three national excellent traditional culture Chinese inheritance bases and the only engineering university in China with seal cutting as the inheritance project, will work hard to inherit and develop the art of Chinese seal cutting, and contribute to the promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture. This exhibition is also the embodiment of the base's function of inheritance and promotion of traditional culture. Huang Sheng pointed out that this exhibition is not only an elegant art activity, but also an innovative form of learning and education of CPC history. He invited everyone to sustain the revolutionary legacy through the seal carving works, and gather the power of forge ahead.

On behalf of the Qinhuangdao CPPCC, Yue Huiren congratulated the smooth opening of the exhibition. He spoke highly of the university-running traditions of YSU and affirmed the university-running achievements of YSU. Yue Huiren pointed out that Qinhuangdao City will vigorously support the construction of YSU, and hoped that through the close cooperation and coordination, the City and YSU will work together to make more and greater contributions to the development of cultural undertakings in Qinhuangdao City and Hebei Province.

Luo Pengpeng delivered a speech via online video to congratulate the opening of this exhibition. Luo Pengpeng briefly introduced the Chinese seal cutting art to everyone, reviewed the original intention and development of the “Imprint Original Heart - Public Seal Carving Works Exhibition”, and fully affirmed the YSU’s inheritance of the seal cutting art and the preparation for this exhibition.
Elderly, middle-aged and young CCP members pass on the theme seal of the “Imprint Original Mind”
At the opening ceremony, on behalf of the elderly, middle-aged and young CPC members, Teng Guosheng, a teacher who is from the School of Arts and Design of YSU and is willing to support the youngers, Gu Qingwei, a teacher who focuses on promoting the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and Zhou Yang, a student who is elected as the Hebei Young Talent Star, passed on theme seal of “Imprint Original Mind” to inherit the original mission and spirit of struggle of the CPC members.

With the theme of “Appreciating Seals and Recalling CPC History, Always Follow the CPC”, this exhibition exhibited 284 seal carving works designed and created by the seal cutting professionals, teachers and students of universities, middle schools and elementary schools, employees of enterprises and employees of scientific research institutes. According to the four parts of “the period of the new democratic revolution, the period of socialist revolution and construction, the new period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics”, the exhibition exhibited the glorious footprint and great achievements of CPC leading the people of all ethnic groups across the country to strive for national independence and liberation and realize the happiness of the people and the prosperity of the country.
