Recently, Yanshan University and the Lodz University of Technology (TUL) signed a friendly cooperation agreement to establish the sister school relationship. It is the second time that Yanshan University establishes a cooperative relationship with a Polish university following the establishment of the Yanshan University European Institute. This means that Yanshan University and Poland will further deepen educational cooperation, integrate quality education resources, work for reciprocal and win-win results, and promote the common development of higher education.
Under the agreement, Yanshan University and TUL will promote student and teacher exchanges, joint talent training, joint meeting and scientific research cooperation. Yanshan University will also take this opportunity to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with European colleges, promote the exchange of quality resources, and improve its global cooperation network.
Established in 1945 and situated in Lodz, Poland, TUL is a public research university and the largest university in central Poland. TUL has 9 schools covering 64 research areas. It is among 20 Polish universities implementing the “Excellence Initiative-Research University (Polish acronym IDUB)” program. TUL is now home to about 11000 students and about 2700 teaching and administrative staff, including about 320 professors. It is the country’s 9th best university in the QS World University Ranking 2022.
