From August 2 to 4, the "Co-making the Future" China-U.S. Young Maker Competition Finals, organized by the Ministry of Education and co-organized by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of the Ministry of Education (CSCSE) and Tsinghua University, were held at the China Millennium Monument in Beijing. Spanning 15 divisions across China and the United States, the competition attracted over 23,500 young makers from more than 4,900 teams across the globe. In the main track, a total of 10 First Prizes, 17 Second Prizes, and 24 Third Prizes were presented. As the sole representative from Hebei Province to qualify for the national finals, the team of the School of Mechanical Engineering, YSU secured the national First Prize of the main track in the finals for the profound integration of innovative technologies and social values showcased by its "Intelligent Flexible Hand-Wrist Rehabilitation Robot", bringing great honor to YSU and Hebei Province.

With strong support from the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, the School of Mechanical Engineering meticulously organized and launched the campus selection competition in June 2025. Following rigorous evaluations through in-house expert reviews and the Tianjin regional competition, five YSU teams qualified for the Tianjin Regional Finals (a competitive field of 20 finalist teams). YSU teams achieved outstanding results, winning one Second Prize and four Third Prizes at the regional level. Most notably, one team excelled further by advancing to the national competition (as one of only four teams selected from the Tianjin division) and ultimately secured the First Prize in the National Finals. This victory represents a historic breakthrough for YSU in international maker competitions, marking the first time that any institution from Hebei Province has claimed the highest honor in this event. The achievement sets a new benchmark for regional innovative talent cultivation and fully demonstrates the systematic effectiveness of YSU's innovation and entrepreneurship education model that embodies the core philosophy of "Bolstering Innovation through Competition and Fostering Interdisciplinary Integration".
