The 2025 National Surfacing and Surface Engineering Conference was successfully held in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province from August 20 to 22. Centering on the theme "Surfacing and Surface Engineering Empowered by New Quality Productive Forces", the conference brought together over 100 experts and scholars in the field of surfacing and surface engineering from colleges, universities, research institutions, and companies across China. The conference served as a platform for in-depth discussion on cutting-edge technologies in surfacing and surface engineering, industry dynamics, and future development trends. It also aimed to foster new quality productive forces and drive the intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing sector.
The conference was organized by the Welding Institution of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES). It was co-organized by YSU, Zhejiang E.O. Paton Welding Technology Research Institute, along with Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Research Institute of Materials Protection Co., Ltd., two subsidiaries of the China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. Six institutions, including the Institute of Remanufacturing Industry Technology, Jing-Jin-Ji, served as cooperating organizations.
