Wang Jiayu (1984-) is a professor and doctoral supervisor at School of Foreign Languages, Central China Normal University. He received his PhD from the National University of Singapore. His research interests include multimodal discourse analysis, media and political discourse analysis, and sociolinguistics. In the past five years, he has published more than ten papers in core journals indexed by SSCI and two papers in journals indexed by CSSCI journals. He gave academic reports at universities such as Yonsei University in Korea, Sun Yat-sen University in China, Ocean University of China, and China University of Mining and Technology. An anonymous reviewer for several well-known international academic journals included in SSCI. He has been an anonymous reviewer of the 2017-2018 US-Poland Fulbright Scholarship. He is presiding over a project of the National Social Science Youth Fund.
In the context of globalization, publishing high-quality papers in authoritative and well-known international journals has become one of the important tasks of China's universities, research institutes and the entire academic community. High-quality and high-quality international publications can enhance the influence of research results in China’s academic circles and enhance China's right to speak in international academic circles. However, due to factors such as language barriers, significant differences between the evaluation standards of international journals and academia and domestic academia, and lack of experience in international publication, efficient international publication is also one of the challenges facing Chinese scholars, especially young scholars. The lecture combines Professor Wang Jiayu’s publishing experience in several well-known international journals in the field of linguistics, and focuses on issues such as topic selection, innovation, reading, writing, submission, and interaction with editors.
