“Learning and Life” Theme Salon: Solving “the Qian’s Doubt”

Distinguished Guest: Prof. Zhen Huang

Zhen Huang, a professor and doctoral dissertation supervisor of School of Mechanical Engineering at YSU, is also the Honorary Directorof Division of Mechanism, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.He has undertaken 10 National Natural Science Fund projects and 3 National 863 projects, and published more than 350 academic papers on international and domestic journals and 5 monographs. He won the "Award of Merit" by the IFToMM (International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science) in 2010, and he was the first Chinese scholar to win this award.His academic achievement is regarded“one of the three milestones for Mechanismsin China”by Departmentof Engineering and Materials Science, National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Theme: Tsien Hsue-shen once sighed: "Why cannot our schools produce outstanding experts?" This question has also become the biggest problem for higher education in China.

Prof. Huang will give inspirations on how to develop from imitation to innovation, and how to integrate philosophy with science, and share his original view on the Qian’s Doubt.

Learning requires unremitting pursuit, and life is full of legends.
