About the lecturer:Dr. Liang Zhang, chief scientist and application & development Manager of Asia-Pacific Division of The DOW Chemical Company, graduated from the Department of Architecture, Tongji University in 1986, and obtained his Doctoral Degree from School of Chemical Sciences, University of Aberdeen in 2000. Dr. Zhang is now working for The DOW (China) Chemical Company, in charge of the development, application and popularization of new technologies in Building Solution Department of The DOW, the management of global R&D platform for construction chemicals, and the research and application of new technologies and new products in the field of architecture. Dr. Zhang won the third prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award and won the 3rdScience & Technology Award for Chinese Youth in 1996. He was awarded the title of Top 10 Scientific Research Models by China Building Materials Academy in 1997. Dr. Zhang invented the aqueous track technology, winning Best of the Best Award of The Dow in 2014; he also invented the aqueous terrace technology, winning the Technological Innovation Award in Asia-Pacific division ofThe Dow in 2015. He has published one monograph and more than 60 academic papers at academic conferences and magazines at home and abroad.
About the lecture:
Dr. Zhang will introduce the company development and R&D system of The DOW Chemical Company, new progress of the Aqueous Polymer application in the fields of synthetic material sports ground, terrace, artistic floors, and anti-corrosion.(Translated by Sai Wang)
