About the Lecturer:Xianliang Su, internationally renowned pianist, Beethoven’s sixth generation of descendants, successively studied in the Manhattan School of Music and the Institute of Musical Art under Juilliard School, USA, and he learned from Jacob Lateiner (1928-2010).
Mr. Su toured all over the world across Europe, America and Asia. He is now the course director of the music festival in Barcelona, art director of Petrof Piano music festival, Vice President of the Asian Musicians Association, and he once taught at the University of Hong Kong and the Kingston University, UK.
Su played the familiar works of Chopin and Beethoven at his concerts, and introduced the romantic works in the world that are less popular from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Spain, French and Latin American composers including Scriabin, Medther, Morton Feldman and Philip Glass, helping listeners and students broaden and enrich their musical tastes. Su has released three piano records: Latin American Piano Journey, La Musique Francaise and Far Side of the Road. These piano works showed Su’s unique style, including the piano works written by Brazilian and Mexican composers, and the world’s first recorded Lucien Wurmser’s works.
