Lecturer profile:

Prof. Jin Huting, a doctoral supervisor, graduated from the Music Department of Seoul University, and graduated from the Salzburg Mozarteum National Conservatory of Music and the Cologne State Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Prof. Dankwart Gahl and Maria Kliegel. He also studied chamber music with Hagen Quartett of Austria Mozarteum and studied with Alban Berg Quartett of Cologne State Conservatory of Music, Germany.

During her studies abroad, he gained international honors and recognition as a professional cellist. He won the championship at the Hohnen Competition in Cologne, Germany and also won the prize at the Geneva International Music Competition in Switzerland.

Jin Huting has been regarded as South Korea's most outstanding cellist. She is a professor of at Kyungpyeong National University in South Korea. She is also a member of Seoul City Youth Orchestra, Jeunes Musices World Orchestra, Salzburger Kammerphilharmonie Orchestra, Hessischer Rundfunk Orchestra, KolnerKammer Orchestra, and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (the chief cellist). As Music Director of the Seoul Arts Center, she successfully led a 100-member cello orchestra performing around the world.

The cellist Jin Huting has about 30 to 40 concerts of different styles every year, including her personal concerts at Sejong Center and the Hall of the Performing Arts of Seoul Arts. In the church of St. Benedict Vagewan in May 2012, Jin Huting recorded a CD titled "Salute to the Torah Martyr". She was recently hired by the Mesa University of Colorado as a visiting professor and successfully held a solo recital in the United States.
