The lecture mainly analyzes and summarizes the literature related to the “shared economy” and defines the concept and characteristics of “shared economy”. Some of the issues of “shared economy” and the relating management decisions will be discussed and illustrated through some examples in daily life.
Speaker Introduction
Prof. Fan received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Northeastern University in 1996. He was awarded by National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2005) and winner of the National Young Teachers Award of the Ministry of Education (2002). He was granted special government allowances from the State Council (2001). He is currently the Deputy Dean of the School of Business Administration of Northeastern University, the Director of the Institute of Management Science and Information Systems, the level II professor, the doctoral supervisor, the member of the Academic Committee of Northeastern University, the member of the Degree Evaluation Committee of Northeastern University, and the Director of the first-level discipline of Management Science and Engineering of Northeastern University.
He also serves in multiple social positions like a member of the expert review team of the Management Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the vice chairman of the Enterprise Operations Research Branch of the China Operations Research Society among others. As the main project investigator, he has obtained 5 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (including the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund Project). In the field of management science research, he has published more than 400 papers including international major journals such as EJOR, IEEE-SMC, IEEE-EM, IJPE, FSS, JORS, IS, C&IE, and ESWA. He has published more than 40 papers (SCI/SSCI search) and published 8 academic monographs (co-authors). He was also awarded several prizes.
