Delegation of YSU visited University of Debrecen and City University of Budapest, Hungary

【From News Center】 From Nov.15thto 19th, 2016,at the invitation of Embassy of Hungary to China, University of Debrecen and City University of Budapest in Hungary, the leaders of YSU International Cooperation Division, School of Information Science and Engineering and School of Economics and Management, led by YSU Vice President, Professor Fucheng Zhang, visited University of Debrecen and City University of Budapest in Hungary and had negotiations on YSU cooperation with the two universities in the fields of computer technology, information and economic management.

YSU signed a cooperation agreement with University of Debrecen.

Prof. Zoltan Crvashi, Vice President of University of Debrecen gave YSU delegation a grand reception on Nov. 16th. At the reception, Vice President Fucheng Zhang, with University of Debrecen, signed a strategic cooperation agreement according to which both sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in many fields, including: teacher and student exchange, joint training, cooperative research and joint application of the EU Erasmus project. The delegation conducted in-depth communication with regard to cooperation details and disciplines with School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Information and School of Economics and Management at University of Debrecenand reached initial cooperation intentions.

YSU delegation visited City University of Budapest and met with Prof. Ferenc Kiss, Vice President of the university, and Miss Denissza Blanar, Director of International Office on Nov. 17th. The two sides came to an agreement on student exchanges and the joint application of the EU Erasmus projects in the fields of finance and trade, which are expected to be implemented in Feb. 2017.

University of Debrecen was recognized as the highest level comprehensive university in Hungary in 1912. It is the largest public university in Hungary ranking 498thin the world and 3rdin Hungary. University of Debrecen is one of the few universities in Hungary to receive government scholarships. Studying in University of Debrecen, overseas students from China can receive the funding of local government in Hungary and their annual tuition fee is only 1/2 or 1/3 of other equivalent universities. University of Debrecen has been certified by the Ministry of Education of China. City University of Budapest is the largest private university in Hungary with about 8000 students. City University has a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses,including: communication, business, tourism and arts. The overseas students in City University of Budapest are from more than 70 countries in the world and most of the courses are taught in English.

The visit is mainly in response to the national development strategy of “the Belt and Road Initiative” and the development requirement of YSU construction of "Double First-class". It will attract overseas students in the Central and Eastern European countries to YSU, deepen the educational cooperation and exchanges with those countries, and promote YSU internationalization in all aspects.
