【News from News Center】School of Arts and Design earned awards in Milan Design Week 2017--- Exhibition of Design Works byT eachers and Students in Chinese Universities. Yu Jiang, a teacher of the Department of Visual Communication Design, won 4 Milan Academy Awards with“Composition Series”; Ying Lu, a teacher of theDepartment of Industrial Design also won 4 Milan Academy Awards with“New Meaning of Cooking”; Shuo Zhang, a YSU student, won 6 Milan Academy Awards with "Angle Ruler"; Yang Liu, another YSUstudent, won 7 Excellence Awards with "OERE Portable Travel Kit"; andSchool of Arts and Design won the Outstanding Organization Award.
The contest wasjointly organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange, Tongji University, and the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media. Since the contest was announced, the department of Social Practice, School of Arts and Designactively publicized the contest and organized teachers and students toparticipate. After furious competition, School of Arts and Design stood out inmore than 2000 works from 200 colleges and universities of Art. The contestfully demonstrated the excellent performance of YSU art and design education incultural creativity and design innovation, which is beneficial for the internationalization of YSU.

As the most authoritative benchmark in the design field, Milan Design Week, is an annual event that brings together the world's top design concepts and achievements in Furniture, Home Furnishing, Architecture, Clothing, Accessories, Lighting, and Design. Part of the winning entries will be exhibitedfrom Mar. 28th to May 5th ontheBovisaCampus, Polytechnic University of Milan.
