【News from News Center】On the morning of Apr. 11th, delegation from the University of Aveiro,led by Vice President Paulo Jorge, visited YSU. YSU Vice President Fucheng Zhang, with leaders of International Cooperation Division, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics, and School of Sciences, welcomed the guests and had a conference with them.

At the conference, YSU Vice President Fucheng Zhang, on behalf of YSU, welcomed the guests, introduced YSU, and expressed his wishes to cooperate with the University of Aveiro in terms of student exchange, faculty exchange, scientific research and teaching. Paulo Jorge, Vice President of University of Aveiro, introduced University of Aveiro and expressed his wishes to sign a memorandum of cooperation with YSU as soon as possible, to carry out cooperation and exchanges in the fields of Language and Culture, Civil Engineering, Materials and Ceramic Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, to establish a close cooperative relationship in the fields ofscientific research and high level personnel exchange, and to share scientific and academic resources.
Founded in 1973, University of Aveiro is an engineering-based comprehensive university. It ranks 471st internationally, with nearly 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The engineering disciplines of the University of Aveiro have advantages, ranking 223rd in the world, while the citing rate of its scientific research on Materials Science ranks 12th in Europe, 77th in the world.
