School of International Education beat College of Electrical Engineering with a score of 2:1, and won the championship of“YSU Cup”Football League One for the first time, which is the best score in the history of School of International Education. College of Mechanical Engineering won the third place by beating College of Information Engineering with a score of 4:1 in the preceding third place match. The two-month“YSU Cup”Football League One came to an end.

School of Electrical Engineering - the defending champion and School of International Education - the new promoter entered into the final. The host introduced the players from both sides and held a solemn flag-raising ceremony before the game. The game was refereed by Guanghui Wang, a national referee from School of Physical Education. Less than 10 minutes after kick-off, School of Electrical Engineering scored their first goal depending on a frontcourt intercept and kept ahead with a score of 1:0. However, School of International Education continued to create the opportunities in the opponent’s half depending on their physical and skill advantages, and eventually reversed the match by virtue of two goals respectively in the 35thand 40thminute in the first half, and kept the score of 2:1 to the end.
“YSU Cup”Football League One received strong support from YSU and all schools. The leaders, teachers and students from many departments were drawn to the final at the First Stadium, cheering for the players.
“YSU Cup”Football League is hosted by YSU Sports Committee and co-organized by YSU Youth League Committee and School of Physical Education. YSU Football game has a long history and has become the most traditional match popular with teachers and students. The annual game is divided into league one and league two with a strict promotion and relegation system.
