[News from News Center] On June 5th, modern drama showLi Baoguooriginated by Xingtai University raised its curtain at the activity center on east campus of YSU. YSU Party Secretary Weidong Meng, Vice President Wanyu Sheng, member of CPC Standing Committee and the representatives of students and teachers watched the show.

The drama takes Prof. Baoguo Li of Hebei Agricultural University as the prototype. It depicts a man who cares about the people, works hard and selflessly from three perspectives: Baoguo Li as a farmer, a professor and family. He devoted his life to ecological construction in mountain areas and scientific innovation to fight against poverty and help farmers get rich. He is a role model, demonstrating a party member’s selflessness with his life. The rigorous and lifelike performance is impressive, and aroused a strong reaction from the audience.

The dramais directed by Fazeng Guo and Ling He, guest professors at Theater and Film Art Department of Xingtai University and famous performing artists; edited by Zhiliang Zhang, Head of the Performing Department; and performed by professional teachers and students. The show focuses on the details of life and the depiction of the characters, so it is touching and inspiring.
