[News from News Center] Latest ESI data released by Thomson Reuters showed that YSU ESI Highly Cited Papers increased to 29, and 2 papers were selected ESI Hot Papers, among which 15 Highly Cited Papers and 2 Hot Papers are from YSU School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering. The paper entitled“Ultrahigh Volumetric Capacitance and Cyclic Stability of Fluorine and Nitrogen Co-doped Carbon Microspheres”published on NATURE COMMUNICATIONS by Chang Jiang Scholar Prof. Faming Gao’s team under School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering was selected ESI Hot Paper. Professors Guangjie Shao, Tifeng Jiao, Yufeng Zhao, Haiyan Wang, Haiming Huang, and Associate Professor Qingrui Zhang’s teams have made huge innovative achievement, and relevant papers were selected ESI Highly Cited Papers.
In recent years, leaders, teachers, and students together adhere to teaching and scientific research, positively focus on discipline construction and scientific study, and complete teaching tasks guaranteeing quality and quantity. ESI (Essential Science Indicators) is an analytical tool constructed by world-renowned academic information publishing agency ISI to evaluate the performance of scientific research and track the trend of science development. Based on quantitative analysis database established by Thomson Reuters SCIE/SSCI consisting of over 10 million literature records from more than 12,000 academic journals, ESI has been adopted universally to evaluate university, academic institutions,and state and region academic level. “For Hot Papers, only papers publishedin the last 2 years are considered. Hot Papers are receiving citations quickly after publication. These papers have been cited enough times in the most recent bimonthly period to place them in the top 0.1% when compared to peer papers. Highly Cited Papers are papers that have received enough citations in the last 10 years to place them in the top 1% when compared to all other papers published in the same year in the same field.”As one of criteria to evaluate Double First-rate university, ESI is attached much importance by all universities as a third-party evaluation indicator.
