[News from the News Center] On April 29, under the leadership of teacher Zhang Xiaodong of School of Physical Education, some members of YSU's Taekwondo team participated in the 12th Public Taekwondo Competition in Hebei Province. After three days of fierce competition, they won two gold, one silver and four bronze prizes.

YSU student Chen Xinyuan won Women's 59 kg championship, Liu Simeng won women's 46 kg championship, Qiu Wenjun won men's 51kg runner-up, Wang Xuelin won women's 64kg thirdprize, and Luo Qiuchan won women's54kg thirdprize. Chen Qingqing won women's 46kg third place and Pan Yue won men's 58kg third place. YSU team membersdemonstratedsuperb competitive skills and tenacious fighting spirit in the competition.
The competition was organized by Sports Administration Center of Hebei Province and the Hebei Taekwondo Association. The Sports Bureau of Baoding City, the Sports Association of Baoding, and the Hebei Taekwondo Training Base hosted this big event. The number of participants is over 2,000 and the scale was unprecedented.
