By checking, he found there were nearly 6000 RMB in cash, some jewelries and bank cards and related documents in the bag. Soon afterwards, he immediately reported this to the person in charge of the School Safety Office and waited for the owner of the bag on the spot.
Today, during the Qinhuangdao International Marathon Race, YSU as a must pass of marathon, around 6:00 am, many athletes, security volunteers and event spectators entered the campus.By preliminary analysis of the personal belongings and documents in the lost bag, the School Safety Office believes that the owner is mostprobablya visitor to Qinhuangdao or a person participating in the event. YSU School Safety Office instructed all gatekeepers to keep an eye on the person who is looking for the lost bag and contacted Liu Jingfeng, a policeman of Baitaling police station.

After many contacts, the lost bag was successfully returned to the owner Ms. Wei Jinling. It is reported that Ms. Wei Jinling from Jilin along with six people came to Qinhuangdao for sightseeing. During the Qinhuangdao International Marathon, some roads were closed, because of the inconvenience they visited YSU and watched the international marathon. While photographing she took the bag, but after that she forgot it. Ms. Wei said:“I had been carrying my bag in my hands, but when I left, I always felt something missing, but I couldn’t recall. When I got up, I suddenly realized that the bag had gone." After the bag was lost, Ms. Wei was anxious about it. "We are so worried about it, though we have reported it to the police station there are so many people around. I would never find it again.When we were about to give up, we heard the good news from YSU security..." Ms. Wei was very happy about the return of her bag and repeatedly thanked YSU security.
It is reported that there are no surveillance facilities near the place where the bag lost, however, Sui Xin, the security did not hesitate for a second to report to school. He, from Hei Longjiang, has worked as security in YSU for two years. Sui Xin who is simple and honest indicated that before this affair there were many times when he found things and returned them to the owner, he said:“I didn’t think about it too much when I picked up the bag, it’s not mine, I can’t keep it. I didn’t count the money in the wallet but ask help from my colleagues to make sure the belongings as they are when I find the bag, I directly gave the wallet to the captain of our security team.”
YSU has more than 170 security staff, and they are responsible for their work. The kind of good deeds happened sometimes, which brought them many thanks letters and banners, and security guards were selected as Lei Feng figures in 2018.
