[News from the News Center] On Nov. 29, Zhang Jianjiang, executive associate secretary-general of QHD Government, and Qu Tao, director of urban and rural construction management center of QHD Government, commissioned by XueYongchun, member of QHD Municipal Standing Committee and executive vice mayor of QHD Government, held on-site meeting at YSU to conduct research on the experiment building renovation project of the YSU Center for High Pressure Science &Technology. YSU vice president Xie Yan’an and Zhao Dingxuan among leaders from YSU Party President Office, Financial Department, Office of Laboratory and Assets Management, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Liren College and Logistics Group attended the meeting.

Zhang Jianjiang and Qu Tao and his delegation came to the Graphic and Information Center of YSU Liren College to inspect the location and housing status of the laboratory of YSU Center for High Pressure Science &Technology, and held the meeting in Meeting Room 219, Administration Building, Liren College. Li Hongbo, director of the YSU Party President Office, briefly introduced the background of the on-site meeting and the importance of accelerating the construction ofthe center. Cong Xihui, deputy general manager of Logistics Group, introduced the reconstruction in details from the functional division, interior decoration design, outdoor supporting facilities, fire protection design, power capacity expansion, and project budget.

Zhang Jianjiang emphasized in his speech that the series of major original scientific and technological achievements won by Academician Tian Yongjun and his team in recent years are the glory of YSU and the pride of QHD. According to the instructions of Zhao Yide, deputy secretary of the QHD Party Committee and the main leaders of the QHD Municipal Party Committee and QHD Government, Qinhuangdao will fully support YSU to accelerate the reconstruction of the laboratory. Zhaomade arrangement on the deployment of the reconstruction from specific dock, the division of responsibilities, and the implementation of the approval procedures, and he put forward opinions and clarified the schedule. Besides, Zhao expressed that the relevant departments of QHD Government would go all out to make the scientific research center a high-quality “turnkey project”.
