[News from the News Center] On the morning of April 21, the launching ceremony of the 6th Reading Festival of Yanshan University was held in front of the library. Vice President of Yanshan University Huang Sheng, Secretary of the Youth League Committee Li Xida, Wang Hongbin, the Dean of Liren College and Qu Xiaoyang, Library Party Secretary were invited to attend the launching ceremony, which was hosted by Wang Yichun, Deputy Director of the library.
In his speech at the launching ceremony, Huang Sheng said that holding of the series of reading festivals in recent years has greatly contributed to the promotion of campus culture construction. The campus reading cultural activities led in a new year. He introduced the ancient and the present, and introduced the intriguing interpretation of the benefits of reading, encouraging young students to inherit the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, and advocating reading as one of their life goals, bravely pursuing their dreams, reading happily, growing up with books.

Outstanding readers of “Star”, “2018 Book Review Star” and “2018 Star of the Year”wereissued certificates and self-selected books from the library.
Qu Xiaoyang introduced the working plans of the series of reading festivals and announced the official launch of the 6th Reading Festival of Yanshan University.
