[News from the News Center] On the morning of June 25, Guo Yuming, Deputy Director of Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Meng Zhiguo, Director of the Regional Innovation Department, along with other four people came to our university to conduct research on the integration of production and education, the transformation of research achievements, and international cooperation. Xue Shunping, Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Qinhuangdao City, Cao Qiujiang, Deputy Director accompanied the delegation. YSU President Zhao Dingxuan, and Vice President Wang Desong among other directors from the Office of the President, the Institute of Science and Technology, the Department of Social Sciences, the International Cooperation Office, the Technology Transfer Center, and the University Science Park participated in the forum, which was hosted by Wang Desong.

Zhao Dingxuan gave a welcome speech on behalf of our university. He gave a brief introduction to the development history of Yanshan University, particularly the progress and achievements in serving our country in recent years. He thanked Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology which has been providing the strong support in YSU development. He said that YSU would seize the historical opportunity, under the strong leadership of the provincial party committee and the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, bear the initial heart and mission in mind, overcome difficulties, continue to work hard to build YSU into a distinctive, domestic first-class, world-renowned research universities, and “Double Firs-class university” eventually.
Zhao Tieshi, Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology, gave a detailed introduction to the integration of production and education and the transformation of achievements in our university as well as the general situation and strengths of our university, the mode of integration of production and education, and the achievements of the integration of production and education.
Teng Guosheng, Director of the International Cooperation Division, gave a detailed introduction to the international cooperation of our university, including the professional settings, the general introduction of foreign teachers, international cooperation projects.

Guo Yuming listened to the relevant work report of our university and conducted in-depth exchanges on some specific issues. He said that through the reports, he could feel the momentum of the flourishing development of Yanshan University. The YSU’s achievements are the result of the hard work of our university. It is hoped that YSU will make the best of the advantages in scientific research, cooperation and developing university. The Provincial Department of Science and Technology Department will fully support YSU in terms of platform construction, personnel training, and project application.
After the meeting, Guo Yuming and his delegation observed the demonstration of inertial control suspension technology, which is the research result of the project “Key Technology Research and Application Demonstration of Highly Maneuverable Multi-functional Emergency Rescue Vehicles”. After the demonstration, Guo Yuming conducted in-depth exchanges with the PI Zhao Dingxuan on the principle and application prospect of the inertial control suspension technology.
