[News from the News Center] In accordance with our university’s “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind, hold high the banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics,” theme education and the leadership’s research work arrangements, on August 7, Zhao Xianfeng, YSU Party Secretary, led a team to Dalian University of Technology for ideological and political education and the preparation work of anniversary celebration. Huang Sheng, YSU Deputy Party Secretary, Yu Shujiang, standing member of Party committee and Vice President among other directors from party committee office, the party committee propaganda department, the school celebration office responsible person participated in the field research.

YSU research team was warmly received by Wang Hansong, secretary of the Party Committee of Dalian University of Technology, Li Cheng’en, deputy secretary of the party committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, and the heads of relevant departments. At the symposium, Wang Hansong warmly welcomed the research team of YSU. He detailed the Dalian University of Technology as the first new formal university founded by the Communist Party of China for the construction of the new China industrial system. He pointed out that the key to running a socialist university with Chinese characteristics is to strengthen the party's overall leadership, resolutely implement the requirements of the General Secretary of the Central Committee and General Xi Jinping on strengthening and improving the ideological and political work of colleges and universities. Yanshan University and Dalian University of Technology have a close relationship. I hope that the two universities will strengthen cooperation and make new and greater contributions to building a higher education power and cultivating studetns in the era of national rejuvenation.
Zhao Xianfeng expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Dalian University of Technology for his warm reception and expressed sincere congratulations on the brilliant achievements of Dalian University of Technology in the past 70 years. He briefly introduced the basic situation ofYSUand the purpose of his visit. YSU’s development have received supports from its sister universities. Dalian University of Technology set a good example forYSU. It is hoped that further pragmatic cooperation will be deepened and common development will be promoted.
