[News from the News Center] On August 31, the kickoff meeting of the national key R&D plan “New Method for Lightweight Design and Manufacturing of Hydraulic Components and Systems” undertaken by Yanshan University was held in Qinhuangdao. The expert group listened carefully to the report and questioned the feasibility of the project. After sufficient argumentation and answer from the project team, the expert group fully affirmed the project and project implementation plan, and gave many constructive opinions and suggestions. Finally, Professor Huang Tian, the project responsibility expert, agreed and announced the official launch of the project. Professor Kong Xiangdong said that the project research was of great significance and very challenging, but he believed that with the help and guidance of the expert group, with the strong support of the project cooperation unit, all members of the project team would overcame all difficulties and ensure the smooth implementation of the project as scheduled.

The project aims to reduce the weight of the mobile equipment hydraulic system. Through the weight reduction of hydraulic oil source, integrated actuator, hydraulic cylinder, fuel tank and integrated unit, a new method for lightweight design and manufacture of hydraulic components and systems is formed.
