[News from the News Center] On September 16, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group 2020 YSU special recruitment fair and vehicle donation ceremony held at YSU. Zhao Xianfeng,YSU Party Secretary, and Zhao Dingxuan,YSU President, had a cordial conversation with Wei Mei, Vice President of Geely Holding Group, and Yang Xueliang, Vice President of Geely Automobile Group.

On behalf of our university, Zhao Xianfeng expressed warm welcome to the recruitment group of Geely Group. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Geely Group for its support and assistance in the career development of YSU students. At the same time, he asked the presidents to convey his greetings from his alma mater. He was looking forward to the field trip and returning to the university for a hundred years of celebration. Zhao Dingxuan introduced YSU’s recent work and future development strategy. He hoped that both YSU and enterprises will continue to carry out in-depth cooperation in scientific research and talent training, and wish the recruitment activity a complete success.

Wang Baocheng, the standing committee member ofCPC Yanshan University Committee and Vice President,attended the recruitment fair, and delivered a speech. Some directors from the Admission and Employment Division, the Academic Affairs Office, the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Vehicle and Energy College, etc. attended the recruitment start-up meeting, which was chaired by Feng Zhien, Deputy Director of the Admission and Employment Division.
In his speech, Wang Baocheng expressed warm welcome to Ms. Wei Mei and her delegation on behalf of our university and expressed sincere gratitude to Geely Group for providing high-quality employment platform for graduates for many years. He said that as a well-known alumni enterprise, Geely always adheres to technological innovation and talent development, concentrates on industry, and actively assumes corporate social responsibility. He introduced the history, and development planning of YSU. YSU educates its graduates the sense of responsibility for a family and the country like Geely Group, a large number of enterprises that serve the needs of the country and promote the construction of a strong country have made great contributions. He hopes that both university and enterprises can further deepen cooperation, achieve win-win development, and jointly contribute to the great rejuvenation of our nation.

Wei Mei thanked our university for the warm reception. She said that Geely Group has been closely connected with YSU for many years. The university has continuously sent a large number of outstanding talents to Geely and made important contributions to the development of the company. Subsequently, she introduced Geely’s innovation and entrepreneurial journey and long-term development goals. She said that Geely always believes in independent innovation, and have been committed to breaking foreign monopoly on key technologies, and strives to build a self-owned brand that enjoys world reputation and status. She hopes that the two sides continue to deepen cooperation in various fields, jointly cultivate technical talents and make due contribution to the development of our nation.

Ren Jiadong warmly welcomed the arrival of Geely Group. He said that Zhao Xianfeng and Zhao Dingxuan had reached a preliminary consensus with Li Shufu on the in-depth cooperation in scientific research and talent training and achieving win-win development. The seminar aimed to further promote the implementation of the cooperation. He analyzed the status quo of the national smart car innovation development strategy and the development direction of engineering education as well as YSU’s own disciplinary advantages, and carried out fruitful exchanges with Geely Group on the aspects of smart vehicle R&D and campus fund establishment.

On the evening of September 16, the recruitment seminar was officially started. It is reported that Geely Group has 265 YSU alumni, including 149 supervisors. The global tour recruitment will provide more than 2,000 job positions. The positions cover most of the disciplines of our university, and Geely Group will give some interviews and Q&A for students.
