The “Zero Distance Contact Yanxiang Racing” hosted by the University Labor Union and the School of Vehicle and Energy Branch includes a visit to the Yanxiang Team Studio, a video of the “FSC” and Yanxiang Team, an understanding of the structure and working principle of the car, and a new racing car.

In the studio, more than 80 children watched the video of “FSC” and Yanxiang Racing Team. The video introduced the development process of the car and the achievements of the previous generations. Afterwards, the children were interested in driving the simulation car. The driving simulator was transformed and processed by the team members on the basis of “Yanxiang No.5”, which made the children feel the racing experience and the game situation more realistically.

In the dynamic display of the new car “Yanxiang No. 10”, the instructor first used the Q&A method to vividly explain the car suspension, tires, steering, battery, safety and other knowledge. The children listened and observed carefully. When the car is “flying” out, the children cannot help but burst into cheers.
Children experience simulated driving
YSU Yanxiang Racing Team was established in 2007. Since participating in the first China Formula Student Car Competition (“China FSC”) in 2010, the car developed this year has been updated to the tenth generation. “Yanxiang No. 10” was the first electric car and was officially released on November 2, 2019. This activity is the seventh series of activities of the “Serving Staff in Action” series of the University Labor Union. It aims to provide multi-dimensional services for our faculty and staff, and to stimulate the children’s interest in exploring scientific knowledge.
