Discipline Building and Research Achievements

The SPA has been authorized to confer Bachelor and Master’sdegrees, while overseeing the sports education of 240 undergraduate students and 49postgraduates.

The SPE has three research institutes, including the Research Institute of Sports Rehabilitation & Healthcare, the Research Institute of Physical Fitness and Skills, the Research Institute of Sports and Health Management. The faculty members have published more than 120 academic papers, including 50 papers in quality national journals. The SPE hasundertaken30 projectsat differentlevels, and obtained more than 20 national invention patents as well as over 200 utility model patents. In 2009, the SPE won the 29th Olympic Games Scientific Research and Technology Service Award and, in 2013, itwas granted the award of“The30th Olympic Games Scientific Research and Technology Service Cooperation Unit”bythe State Sports General Administration.
