On the morning of November 10th, the unveiling ceremony of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy of YSU was grandly held in Conference Room 1816 of Century Building, and attended by Zhao Xianfeng, Secretary of the CPC Yanshan University Committee, Zhao Dingxuan, Deputy Secretary ofthe CPC Yanshan University Committee and President of YSU, Ren Jiadong, Standing Committee Member and Vice President of YSU, heads of relevant departments, representatives of school leaders, teachers and students. Yu Zhonghai, President of Shanghai YSU Alumni Association and an alumnus in Class 1978 of Mechanical Engineering, made a video speech on behalf of Shanghai YSU Alumni Association. Zhang Yang, Deputy Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Guidance Center (in charge of related works), delivered a speech on behalf of his department. He said that since the establishment,the center focuses on providing strong talent support for high-quality economic and social development, promotes all works as a whole and achieves the initial results.The center takesresponsibility for creating the innovation and entrepreneurship education system fully conforming to the social orientation and education characteristics of YSU and featured with "six points, one thousand items, fifty competitions, four forums, two camps and three platforms". The mission is to meet the demands of teachers and students of the whole university for innovation and entrepreneurship, the demands of "double first-class" construction and the demands of local economic and social development for innovation and entrepreneurship of YSU. The vision is to further promote the integration of "five innovations" such as thinking innovation, professional innovation, S & T innovation, industry innovation and local innovation. A full coverage and deep integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education matrix has been basically constructed. He said that guided by the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Guidance Center will take the construction of "double first-class" university as the core and the construction of a national innovation and entrepreneurship academy with distinctive characteristics and first-class level as the goal, implement 21 reform measures (referred to as "Project 721") in seven aspects such as the integration of thinking and innovation, the construction of innovation and entrepreneurship courses, the development of innovation and entrepreneurship teaching materials, the improvement of college students' innovation and entrepreneurship ability, the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship teachers, the special research on innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the incentive of innovation and entrepreneurship competition, so as to comprehensively deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education. The center will strive to fully realize the deep integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education with ideological and political education, professional education, S&T innovation, industrial development and local economic and social development by 2025, create a new system, new model, new platform and new achievements of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and cultivate a large number of high-quality creative, innovative and entrepreneurial talents. The center will provide strong support for YSU to develop to a domestically first-class and world-famous research university with distinctive characteristics.

Yao Jiantao, a famous teacher in Hebei Province, Vice Chairman of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Steering Committee of YSU and Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, spoke as a teacher representative. He said that the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Steering Committee will strive to play a greater role, put forward more "good ideas" and more "good plans", and cooperate with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and Guidance Center to turn the academy into a national innovation and entrepreneurship academy with distinctive characteristics and first-class level. He said that the teachers of the whole university will take the construction of national innovation and entrepreneurship academy as an opportunity to actively promote the deep integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education with professional education and ideological and political education, widely spread the "seeds" of innovation and entrepreneurship, cultivate more outstanding "seedlings" of innovation and entrepreneurship, and make unremitting efforts to build the university into a "domestically first-class and world-famous research university with distinctive characteristics”!

Zhang Shiqi, the gold medal winner of the 7th China International "Internet +" College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and a 2022 doctoral student of the School of Electrical Engineering, spoke as a student representative. He shared the journey of starting a business by participating in the "Internet+" competition. He said that the university will provide a broader stage for YSUers to display their ambitions by building a national innovation and entrepreneurship academy, and more and more YSUers will pursue and achieve their dreams through innovation and entrepreneurship. He said that young students should integrate their passionate youth dreams into the great Chinese dream, strive to become promising talents with both ability and political integrity, repay the university with practical actions, and contribute to building a modern socialist country.

Yu Zhonghai, President of Shanghai YSU Alumni Association and an alumnus in Class 1978 of Mechanical Engineering, made a speech by video. On behalf of Shanghai YSU Alumni Association, he congratulated YSU on its successful selection into the first batch of national innovation and entrepreneurship academies in China. He said that the development of Shanghai YSU Alumni Association has received cordial care and continuous attention from YSU, and Shanghai YSU Alumni Association has always paid close attention to the development of YSU, especially hoping to add new impetus to the all-round development of YSU.

Thinking about the source of drinking water, loving the alma mater. When the good news came that YSU was selected as the first batch of national innovation and entrepreneurship academies in China, Shanghai YSU Alumni Association responded quickly and donated 500,000 yuan for the construction of national innovation and entrepreneurship academy to support the university's innovation and entrepreneurship education. Ren Jiadong presented donated souvenirs to Shanghai YSU Alumni Association, which were collected by Zhang Xiangqian, Director of Alumni Office, on behalf of the association.

In 2022, the Ministry of Education will build 100 national innovation and entrepreneurship academies and 100 national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice bases for colleges and universities across the country, which is a key project for the Ministry of Education to promote the construction of a full-coverage, multi-level and personalized innovation and entrepreneurship education system during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and is the highest-level national platform in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship in Chinese universities in the next five years. Being selected as the institution to develop the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy is not only a major achievement made by YSU in deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, but also another major breakthrough in the construction of the national platform of YSU. The construction of a national innovation and entrepreneurship academy will open a new chapter in the high-quality and leap-forward development of innovation and entrepreneurship education in YSU.
