YSU won awards in the 2019 Hebei Humanities Knowledge Competition

[News from the News Center] On November 18, the “2019 Hebei Humanities Knowledge Competition” hosted by the Hebei Provincial Department of Education ended at Hebei Normal University. The two teams of our university won the first prize and the third prize respectively, and the four teachers won the title of “Excellent Instructor”. At the same time, our university was also awarded the “Excellent Organization Award” by the Provincial Department of Education, which was the best results we have achieved since the event launched.

The humanities knowledge contest in Hebei Province has been highly valued by our university for many years. Since October, the Academic Affairs Office and the School ofSchool of Humanities and Lawhad worked together to hold YSU the 5th Humanities Knowledge Competition in order to select contestants for povincial competition. A total of more than 3,200 students participated in the competition and finally, 10 outstanding students were selected and formed two teams for the provincial competition.

In this competition, 80 teams from 41 universities in the province participated in the competition, including Yanshan University, Hebei University of Technology, Hebei University and Northeastern University Qinhuangdao campus. In the final stage, the contestants’ sold foundation in the knowledge of humanities secured an excellent performance in the competition. Their topics embodied the responsibility of young students in the process of realizing the China’s great rejuvenation of the Chinese dream and closely link the personal pursuit to the future and destiny of the country, and shoulder the responsibility to promote the development of the motherland.

The outstanding performance of our students showed their solid humanistic knowledge. The promotion and popularization of humanities knowledge contest in our university will attract and encourage more students to enhance their knowledge of humanities, read humanistic classics, improve their appreciation of cultural heritage, broaden their horizons of knowledge, and strengthen their cultural inheritance and innovation.
