[News from the News Center] Recently, the final assessment results of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (NSFDYS) in 2019 have been released. Professor Wen Bin from YSU School of Materials Science and Engineering was selected in the final list of the NSFDYS in 2019 with the project “Micro Mechanism of Material Mechanics Behavior”, with a subsidy of 4 million yuan.

The project of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars mainly supports young scholars who have achieved outstanding results in basic research. The project aims to promote the growth of young science and technology talents, attract overseas talents, and cultivate a group of outstanding academics that have entered the forefront of world science and technology. In 1994, it was officially named the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. The first batch of 49 people is selected, and the amount of subsidy per person was 600,000 yuan.
