During the inspection, Premier Li Keqiangcommunicated with Yang Liqian, a maker at Jingdezhen Taoxichuan Maker, who graduated from the YSU School of Arts and Design. Premier Lipraised Yang Liqian’sperformancein innovation and entrepreneurship, and encouraged him, together with other makers, to continue business start-ups and innovation and realize their own dreams, and to build Jingdezhen intoa porcelain city of the world.

Yang Liqian, who graduated from YSU School of Arts and Design in 2014 majoring in visual communication design, set up JingdezhenLiqianCeramic Culture Communication Co., Ltd. in 2015 and now serves as the standing director of Jingdezhen Ceramic Art Artists Association. In June 2015, Yang Liqian donated 50 sets of ceramics ofBaymax to YSU, encouraging students in lower grades to be self-employed. Yang accepted a live interview by Jingdezhen TV Station for outstanding maker in Jingdezhenin January 2017, and he was interviewed as arepresentativeof excellentmakers by media including CCTV News,People’s Daily, and Phoenix Satellite TVin April 2017. Besides, Yang Liqian won the excellent prize of the 1st“Golden Brush” National Painting and Calligraphy Competition in 2017, and in 2018 won theexcellent prize of the1stJingdezhen Ceramics Design Competition.
