YSU cooperates with Monash University(Australia) on Credit Transfer Program

[News from NewsCenter] On September 5, Fucheng Zhang, YSU Vice President, met with Prof.Jiuhua Zhu, Director of Australia Monash University China Program Office, in the21stCentury Building on campus. LeadersfromYSUInternational Cooperation Division,Teaching Affairs Division and School of Economics and Management attended the meeting.Detailed negotiations on 2 + 2 education program were conducted.

Vice presidentFucheng Zhang extended a warm welcome to Professor Zhu’s visit and introduced YSUcurrent situations and achievements in school running and internationalexchanges, hoping to establish long-term cooperative relationship with MonashUniversity, enhance the internationalization and international exchanges of YSU, and promote YSU "Double First-class" construction.

Prof. Zhu introducedMonash University, one of the world's Top 100 Universities. Monash Universityis a member of Australia's Group of Eight and one of the largest and best Australiannational universities. Evaluated as a Five-star University in Australia, it is world-renownedas a research-intensive institute. In the QS World University Rankings of 2014,Monash University ranked the 70thwhile its Accounting and Financeranked the 20thworldwide.

Professor Zhu made detailed consultations with relevant authorities onthe 2 + 2 cooperative education program issues, such as curriculum setting,credit evaluation, tuition fee, admission requirements, etc. After that, Schoolof Economics and Management organized accounting-majored freshmen and sophomoresto attend the meeting. Professor Zhu explained the project operation mode and answeredsome project-related questions. Hopefully an intercollegiate exchange agreementbetween YSU and Monash University on 2 + 2 Credit Transfer can be signed in thenear future. (Editor: Qiaoyi Cai)
