【News from News Center】 The Second Plenary Session of the Second Council of Hebei Association for International Exchange and Cooperation in Education and Culture, namely the annual meeting, sponsored byHebei Association for International Exchange and Cooperation in Education and Culture and jointly hostedby YSU and Hebei University of Technology, was held in Qinhuangdao On Apr. 19th, 2017.

Jun Fang, Deputy Director of Department of International Exchange of Ministry of Education, Tingshan Wang, Deputy Director of Hebei Education Department, and 170 representatives from education bureaus and 70 universities and colleges, attended the conference. At the conference, YSU President Hongmin Liu welcomed the guests. Fang Jun and Wang Tingshan made speeches, congratulating on the opening of the session, elaborating on the situation and the tasks of Hebei, achievements and the focus of future work. On behalf of YSU, Vice President Fucheng Zhang made a report on promotion of YSU internationalization. The representative of Handan Board of Education and Handan Association for International Exchange and Cooperation in Education and Culture, made a work report. Dr. Niya Song, counselor for Hungarian Education Embassy in China, was invited to make a keynote speech.

Qiang Li, Director of Hebei Association for International Exchange and Cooperation in Education and Culture and Party Secretary of the Party Committee of Hebei University of Technology gave a report in which he summarized the 2016 work of the association and arranged the 2017 annual work plan. He read “The Decision to Recognize Teams and Individuals Contributing to International Education Exchange”.37 teams, 44 individuals and 17 contributors were awarded. YSU won the honorary title of 2016 Excellent Team of Hebei International Education Exchange.

What’s more, Chinese and Foreign Educational Cooperation Branch, Higher Vocational College Branch, Studying Abroad Branch, Foreign Students in China Branch, Chinese International Promotion Branch, European and American Higher Education Research Association discussed in three groups, exchanged experiences, and give suggestions on the development of Hebei international education.
