[News from News Center] From Sep. 15thto 17th, the 6thInternational Conference on Advances in Construction Machinery and Vehicle Engineering(ICACMVE’ 2017)was successfully held at YSU. Prof. Dingxuan Zhao was the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and more than 200 experts in construction machinery and vehicle engineering from China, America, Japan and other countries attended the conference. The conference was sponsored by China Construction Machinery Society (CCMS), hosted by YSU, Earth Moving Machinery Branch and Heavy Engineering Transporter Branch, and co-sponsored by Jilin University, Fluid Power Transmission & Control Branch of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Beijing Huade Hydraulic Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Hebei Coli Auto Parts Co. Ltd.
Opening ceremony
The opening ceremony was hosted by YSU Vice President Xiangdong Kong. YSU President Hongmin Liu introduced YSU history, discipline superiority, as well as the research features and advantages in construction machinery and vehicle engineering, and extended a warm welcome to everyone. Prof. Yongming Bian, President of CCMS addressed the conference on behalf of CCMS. He introduced the origin and history of ICACMVE and expressed gratitude to all efforts and contribution of YSU for hosting this conference.

ICACMVE was initiated by CCMS in 2007 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the establishment of Tongji University. As a biennial international academic conference, five sessions had been held at Tongji University, Jilin University, Chang’an Universityand other universities. Due to its industrial characteristics, ICACMVE are gaining increasing value from the international academia. ICACMVE’ 2017 was focused on topics including big data, cloudcomputing, internet of things, and virtual reality technology and applications in construction machinery and vehicle engineering. More than 150 papers were received, and 132 outstanding ones were selected and made into a collection for exchange and discussion at the conference. Besides, many international and domestic renowned experts and scholars were invited to do guest reports at the conference and introduce the latest industry progress and technical achievements, including Academician Huayong Yang, Vice President David Beatenbough, Prof. Ichiryu Ken, Prof. Hironao Yamada, Prof. Keiya Nishida, Prof. Xiangdong Kong, Prof. Yongming Bian, Prof. Dingxuan Zhao and Prof. Jingyi Zhao.

ICACMVE’ 2017 was successfully held at YSU, demonstrating the influence of YSU mechanical engineering on international academia and proving the ability of YSU to undertake large-scale international academic activities. After the conference, CCMS, sponsor of ICACMVE’ 2017, highly praised the outcome.
