On December 20-21, two high-end conferences, Optical Engineering Cooperation Meeting and the Industrial Design and Visual Communication Cooperation Meeting of "2022 International Conference on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation (Hebei)", guided by the Ministry of Education and Hebei Provincial People's Government, sponsored by the National Center for Schooling Development Programme and jointly organized by Hebei Education Department and Yanshan University (YSU), were held online and grandly, with 68 well-known scholars from 8 countries including China, Russia, the United States and South Korea, giving thematic reports.
As part of the 2022 International Conference on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation organized by the Ministry of Education in 15 provinces and autonomous regions, with the theme of "Integration of Industry, University, Research and Application, Innovation Driving Development", the two meetings focused on optical engineering and industrial design respectively, and aimed to lay out innovation chain around the industrial chain, reshape the talent chain and education chain with innovation chain, build a new platform for international cooperation of industry, university, research and application in the post-epidemic era, and establish a community of S&T innovation.
On the morning of December 20, online opening ceremonies were held for the two meetings. Optical Engineering Cooperation Meeting was presided over by Professor Chen Yuee of YSU. Chen Guoqiang, member of the Standing Committee of YSU Party Committee and Vice President, and Zhukov, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, delivered speeches respectively. Professor Guo Youzhi, Vice President of China Water Engineering Association, and Professor Li Changwu, President of Dalian Polytechnic University, gave keynote lectures. Industrial Design and Visual Communication Cooperation Meeting was presided over by Sun Li, Dean of School of Arts and Design, YSU. Wang Limin, a member of Standing Committee of YSU Party Committee and Vice President, and Li Jingyong, Dean of School of Art, Kyungpook National University, Korea, delivered speeches respectively. Professor Fang Xiaofeng of Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Professor Hao Ninghui of Central Academy of Fine Arts, Professor Zhang Ming of Nanjing University of the Arts and Professor Lv Jiefeng of Wuhan University of Technology gave keynote lectures.
In his speech, Chen Guoqiang emphasized that YSU has always attached importance to international cooperation in industry, university, research and application, and is an active participant and promoter of cooperation. For the future development, YSU has put forward a new development idea of value leading direction, opening-up gathering strength, and innovation driving future so as to create an open and innovative cooperation mode of YSU with high-level international cooperation, interdisciplinarity and industry-university-research-application collaboration and contribute to promoting the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the high-quality development of "the belt and road initiative" and building a community with shared future for mankind.

Zhukov thanked the conference for the invitation. He expressed the hope that this meeting will expand the breadth of talents cultivation and comprehensively enhance the ability to serve local economic and social development.

Optical Engineering Cooperation Meeting lasted for two days and was held online and offline, with one main venue and four sub-venues, including the academic subject of universities, technologies of enterprises and innovation and entrepreneurship. On December 20, academicians and scholars from Russia, the United States, Canada and Australia gave keynote speeches respectively. Industry experts from Tsinghua University and Chinese Academy of Sciences and the technical backbones of enterprises and associations such as CNNC, North America (Silicon Valley) Haizhi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base of China Association for Science and Technology and China Water Enterprises Confederation conducted the discussions and exchanges around the development needs of laser technology industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and focusing on the national heavy industries such as ships, steel and power plants and the fields of research and development, production and technical services of laser equipment; on December 21, participating universities, research institutes and enterprises communicated and signed the contracts offline, which promoted the cooperation achievements of this meeting and explored new modes of international cooperation on industry, university, research and application, such as transformation of scientific research achievements and university-enterprise cooperation.
Industrial Design and Visual Communication Cooperation Meeting lasted for one and a half days, mainly by online live broadcast. On December 20, the participating experts mainly conducted in-depth discussions on professional fields such as design and regional development, design and integration of industry and university. Famous scholars from domestic and foreign universities such as Tsinghua University, Kyungpook National University, Korea and Russian State Institute of Performing Arts gave academic lectures respectively; On the morning of December 21, focusing on design and life & health, the experts continued to further explore new technologies, new achievements and new trends in current design education, practice and theory around the high-quality development empowered by design, cutting-edge design technology, rural revitalization and modern industry, digital intelligence design and digital economy, design and life & health, intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment, etc., and aimed to jointly promote the future development of the cross-integration of design industry and design education.
In the international cooperation on industry, university, research and application, enterprises play the main role based on "industry", universities promote talents cultivation and upgrading with "learning" as the core, research institutes provide innovation power with "research" as the source, and industry, university and research integrate with "application" as the starting point, speeding up the construction of world important talent centers and innovation highland, and expanding education opening to the outside world.
It is reported that the International Conference on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation was founded by the Ministry of Education in 2018 and committed to further promoting the high-quality development and opening to the outside world of education and the construction of an international industry-university-research-application cooperation system. This is the first time for Hebei Province and also YSU to host this conference, which will play a positive role in promoting international scientific research cooperation, joint training of talents and further promoting international exchanges and cooperation with countries along the "the belt and road".
