On October 12, the Learning Science and Education Digital Transformation Forum, hosted by the China Association of Higher Education and co-hosted by Yanshan University, the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education, the China Higher Education Training Center, and Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, was held in Qingdao. The forum, with the theme of "Learning Science and Digital Transformation in Education," aimed to gather innovative insights into higher education and serve the modernization of higher education. Over 150 guest representatives from various organizations, including universities, businesses, and research institutions, attended the event. Wu Yingce, Deputy Secretary General of the China Association of Higher Education, attended the forum. Zhao Xianfeng, Secretary of the CPC Yanshan University Committee and Chairman of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education, and Wang Dianlong, Member of the Standing Committee and Vice President of Yanshan University, attended the forum and delivered speeches. Shang Junjie, Executive Director of the Learning Science Laboratory at the Graduate School of Education, Peking University, and Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education, co-chaired the forum alongside Wang Peilong, Director of the Higher Education Development Research Center at Yanshan University.

Zhao Xianfeng emphasized during the opening ceremony that the forum's theme aligns closely with the goal set out in the 20th CPC National Congress to build "a learning society and a learning nation" and the mission of research in learning science in the new era. The in-depth discussions during the forum, focusing on "learning" and "teaching" in the context of educational digital transformation, are of great significance for promoting the advancement of learning science theory and innovative practices in China. As the chair institution of the Learning Science Research Branch, Yanshan University will actively establish more diverse and extensive academic exchange platforms, creating better opportunities for scholars in the field of learning science to engage in academic discussions.

During the conference, reports were presented by several prominent figures in the field, including Li Rumi, Director of the Institute of Curriculum and Teaching Research at Nanjing Normal University and Vice Chairman of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education; Pei Xinning, a professor at East China Normal University and Vice Chairman of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education; Zhao Jianhua, Deputy Director of SUSTech-Center for Future Education Research and Vice Chairman of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education; Zhou Jiaxian, Deputy Director of the Center for Educational Neuroscience at East China Normal University and Vice Chairman of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education; Sannyuya Liu, Vice President of Fujian Normal University and Director of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education at Central China Normal University, as well as Vice Chairperson of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education; and Shang Junjie, Executive Director of the Learning Science Laboratory at the Graduate School of Education, Peking University, who is also the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Learning Science Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education.

This forum is part of the 60th Higher Education Expo China held in Qingdao. This year's Higher Education Expo is organized by the China Association of Higher Education and is themed around "Integration of Vocational and General Education, Integration of Industry and Education, and Fusion of Science and Education." It comprises three main sections: high-tech equipment exhibition, high-level conference forums, and the release of information technology and advanced achievements. The exhibition covers an area of more than 120,000 square meters, with over 6,000 participating enterprises and more than 1,500 participating universities. It is anticipated that more than 10,000 attendees will participate in the offline event.
