On the morning of December 21, the unveiling ceremony for the Institute of Life Health and Intelligent Medicine, YSU, was held in Health Care Talent Training Center so as to implement the spirit of the Notice of National Development and Reform Commission and Other Departments on Several Policies and Measures to Support the Development of BDH Life Science & Healthcare Innovation Demonstration Zone, fully cooperate with the construction of BDH Life Science & Healthcare Innovation Demonstration Zone in Qinhuangdao City, support the local economic and social development of Hebei and Qinhuangdao, and enhance the ability to serve the local strategic emerging industries. After the unveiling ceremony, the participating leaders went to the research laboratory on the first floor of the Institute of Life Health and Intelligent Medicine to attend the lecture on the typical achievements of the health care research team of YSU. After the lecture of achievements, Ding Wei highly praised the achievements made by YSU in terms of health care and hoped to speed up the transformation of achievement. Qinghuangdao Municipal Government will provide necessary support and assistance to promote the early application of more outstanding achievements, so as to better serve local economic development and the medical and health undertakings of people.

Undertakings of health care of YSU started in 2017, as a sub-project of the Health Care Talent Training Center undertaken by YSU for the pension service system construction project of Asian Development Bank. In 2018, in response to the national health policy and the local development requirements of Qinhuangdao City and Hebei Province, YSU brought together scientific research teams from more than 10 schools and established the Health-care Industrial Technology Research Institute. Since its establishment, the Institute has undertaken more than 60 national and provincial scientific research projects and published more than 100 high-level papers, with a total scientific research fund of more than RMB 48.00 million. This year, according to the relevant policies issued by the Ministry of Education, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, etc., and the discipline advantages of YSU, and pursuant to three cooperative education characteristics such as the integration of science and education, integration of production and education, and internationalization, YSU established the Institute of Life Health and Intelligent Medicine after nearly one year's efforts. In the future, the Institute will give full play to its own advantages, base itself on solving the frontier fields and key problems of disciplines, promote the innovative development of medicine, train outstanding talents to meet the future requirements for the medicine and the integration of medicine and engineering, and make due contributions to building a healthy China, serving the development of local industries and improving people's health and well-being.
