Theme: Yu Huan killed one person for insulting his mother: interactions and conflicts on Reason Law
Host: Department of Law, College of Humanities and Law
Introduction: As an ancient saying goes, “if an innocent father was killed, his child is allowed to revenge.” However, it has never occurred in modern society ruled by law. At present, Yu Huan stabbed one for insulting his mother. What should the modern rule of law do? Intentional killing, causing death due to intentional injury, excessive defense, or acquitting on grounds of justifiable defense? College of Humanities and Law has invited teachers from the Department of Law to interpret the case of Yu Huan. The teachers will interpret, comment on and discuss the case to express diversified viewpoints and to seek the balance of Reason Law.
