About the lecturer: Liu is now an Associate Professor (tenured professor) of Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology (one of the top three technology universities in America). He graduated from Foster School of Business, University of Washington with his Ph.D. in Business Administration in June, 2011. In Feb. 2016, he was promoted to Associate Professor ahead of schedule and tenured professor at the same time in Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. Prof. Liu is a new-generation scholar in fields of international human resources management and organizational behavior. His research includes EST, creativity, employee turnover, followership, entrepreneurship and cross-culture management. His research achievements have been published or in press in some famous journals such asAcademy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology,Personnel Psychology,Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes,andJournal of Management. He has taught courses at different levels including organizational behavior (undergraduate), cross-cultural management (undergraduate and MBA), managing global workforce (EMBA), and advanced research methods (PhD). He has won several research and teaching awards, including: the World’s Best 40 Under 40 Business School Professors in 2017; 2017 Early Career Achievement Award from Human Resources Division of Academy of Management; the Professor of the Year Award (Core Business Courses) in 2014, and the Evening MBA Elective Professor of the Year Award in 2016 from the Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology; Second Prize for 2016 Academy of Management Review Best Paper Award; Scholarly Achievement Award from the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management in 2013; the Best Paper with International Implications Award from the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy of Management in 2012; Outstanding Teaching Award from Foster School of Business, University of Washington in 2011; and 2011-2012 Canada Ivey’s Twenty Best Selling Cases from Ivey Case Publishing.
